A nearby bus stop was also damaged

Cloth Castle was targeted in an act of vandalism on the same day the store was hosting a summer kids' camp.

Cloth Castle, a family-owned and operated business on Goldstream Avenue, was vandalized early Tuesday morning, July 16.

"The exact same thing happened at the bus stop," said Bonnie Harper, the manager and family member.

As the store deals with vandalism, Cloth Castle is also hosting a kids' summer sewing camp on Tuesday.

"It just made more work," Harper said.

Along with the window and bus stop, the shop's door was also targeted, a recurring theme for the store. Despite the damage, the store had not yet informed the West Shore RCMP of the incident but plans to, Harper said.

"it has been happening a long time," she said. "Vandalism is hard on small businesses."

Goldstream Gazette has reached out to West Shore RCMP for more information.
