“The Bell Block is the oldest commercial property in Oak Bay, built by George Bell in 1913,” reads the online listing. “Mr. Bell sold the property to Oak Bay resident Richard Richards, formerly of Pontypridd Wales and New Jersey, USA, in 1927, and it has remained in the same family for four generations. This Oak Bay Village keystone is now available to qualified buyers for the first time in nearly a century. Information available only with Signed NDA. DO NOT APPROACH TENANTS. Offers will be consider after 2:00 on October 17th.”
The annual property taxes are listed at $66,000 a year.
The Bell Block building formerly houses the town’s hardware store and was an essential business as Oak Bay became more popular with wealthy Victoria residents.
