An online campaign is underway for Anne Tolmie after her house was ransacked while the Saanich woman was away at Royal Jubilee Hospital.

Nathalie Chambers launched the campaign to help purchase a trailer for Tolmie to live in.

As of Friday (May 31), it had raised $2,659, with 50 donations.

Tolmie’s house was targeted by six break-ins, with the thieves stealing sentimental belongings, family photos, antiques and all of the copper pipes.

It was discovered on Victoria Day when Tolmie was on a day pass from Royal Jubilee Hospital. She had moved out of the house in February after coming down with pneumonia.
