What happens when climate change starts to affect a body of water as large as the Pacific Ocean?
This is the subject of a new exhibit opening at the Maritime Museum of B.C. in downtown Victoria on Thursday, Oct. 31.
"Pacific Peril: Climate Change, the Warming Ocean and How to Turn the Tide” explores what climate change could mean for the Pacific and what we can do to help protect it now and for future generations.
On its opening day, the museum is throwing a Halloween special where guests can make their own spooky sea lanterns and costumed visitors of all ages can “trick or treat” at the front desk all day long.
The exhibit runs from Oct. 31 to March 30, 2025.
Opening hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday.
