Victoria saw hordes of people from across the world at the B.C. Legislature for a day of music, cultural performances and food. Festivities ended with fireworks and though there was a scheduled drone show, it was cancelled due to wind according to Canada Day Victoria.
Along Gorge Road, Saanich community members celebrated in the morning with a parade and a pancake breakfast and celebrations continued throughout the day with a car show, stage performances and local foods.
In Langford, the day started with a pancake breakfast and as the day went on there was a hot wings eating contest, a cornhole tournament, a magic show, performances from local musicians and a variety of lawn games and kids activities.
