The roar of nine jet engines thundered through Greater Victoria on the evening of Tuesday, July 22, when the Canadian Forces Snowbirds performed a quick airshow over the Inner Harbour.
Though it wasn't a full airshow, for about 20 minutes the team was in tight formation and soared past several times with formation changes.
"A huge thank you to everyone who packed the waterfront and looked up for our non-aerobatic display tonight over the Inner Harbour. The roar, the pride, the vibe… amazing," noted the team on their Facebook page.
The 431 Air Demonstration Squadron celebrated a change in leadership July 11 when Lt.-Col. Jean-François Dupont officially handed command to Lt.-Col. Guillaume Paquet in a ceremony held at the team’s home base in Moose Jaw.
