Police incident in front of Victoria City Hall prompts closure on Pandora Avenue

A suspect was taken into custody and there is no active threat to public safety

Pandora Avenue is closed between Douglas Street and Broad Street as the Victoria Police Department responds to an incident in front of Victoria City Hall, just before 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1.

Three ambulances responded to the incident along with a number of uniformed police officers.

VicPD says they responded to a "weapons call," where they deployed a less-lethal round. Police say the suspect was taken into custody and there is no active threat to public safety.
