VicPD recover fox fur but still seek suspect in downtown Victoria theft

Victoria Police Department seeks a suspect after a cashmere and fox fur wrap was reported stolen from a downtown shop.

VicPD is looking for a thief with pricey taste after a cashmere and fox fur shawl was reported stolen from a downtown shop on Wednesday (July 9).

A shop owner in the 700-block of Government Street reported the theft – valued around $2,000 – around 3:30 in the afternoon.

Police are looking for a suspect is described as a Caucasian man, 50 to 55 years old, about 5’11” with a slim to medium build. He was wearing a baseball hat and a black jacket with beige trim.

In a July 15 update, VicPD announced that they had recovered the stolen fur and thanked the community for their assistance. However, the investigation remains ongoing as investigators work to identify the suspect.
