RCMP search for suspects in ‘targeted’ West Shore assault

RCMP say the clothing is darker than in the video and photos

A Colwood resident was assaulted at his home in the 2400 Block of Sooke Road by two male suspects who had knocked on the man’s door.

The incident happened at about 8 p.m., Feb. 26.

“The two suspects got into an altercation with the homeowner which turned physical,” said RCMP.

The first suspect is described as a Caucasian man, approximately 5’8” to 5’10”, wearing a blue hoodie, jogging pants, a baseball cap and sandals.

He was joined by a second man described as having darker skin, medium build and wearing a dark jacket.

The homeowner did not know the pair, however, West Shore RCMP believes the attack to be targeted and advises that there is no safety concern for the general public.

Security camera footage has been released, but the RCMP said the clothing is darker than in the video.

The public is instructed to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) if they recognize the individuals.
