Rollover crash on major road in Saanich entangles traffic, knocks out power

A rollover crash on Quadra Street in Saanich on Nov. 20 has entangled traffic and knocked out power.

The crash occurred near the 4100 block of Quadra Street. The crash involved a single vehicle colliding with a hydro pole.

According to Saanich Police, the vehicle’s driver was taken to hospital, and the area is expected to be closed for several hours.

Several vehicles were trapped in the area due to the live wires on the ground following the crash.

Over 2,000 BC Hydro customers are without power due to the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
