Saanich Police report a possible cougar sighting shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 near Mount Douglas Secondary School.
Although a cougar was not seen it was suspected to be in a tree in the vicinity of the 1800 block of Harwood Place. The BC Conservation Service will follow up with the homeowner.
This is the latest of a series of cougar sightings across Greater Victoria in recent days. A cougar was caught on camera in the Belmont area of Colwood on Oct. 2, with three cougar sightings in Saanich on Sept. 28 and 29, two near the University of Victoria.
