Section of Saanich's Carey Road to close for 2 weeks for drain installation

The near 2 km closure is scheduled to run from May 1 to 14, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The near 2 km closure on Carey Road will stretch between Wilkinson Road to the north and Marigold Road to the south. The site is scheduled to run until May 14 and will take place daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A section of Carey Road in Saanich will be closed to vehicle traffic starting Thursday, May 1, as crews begin drain installation work.

The near 2 km closure on Carey Road will stretch between Wilkinson Road to the north and Marigold Road to the south. The closure is scheduled to run until May 14 and will take place daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

No vehicles will be permitted through the construction zone during this period. A detour will be in place via Baker Street, Glanford Avenue and Tait Street. 

Traffic control personnel and signage will be on site to assist drivers.
