A small fire at the Victoria Native Friendship Centre closed Tuesday (May 14) after a small fire.
While the small fire was quickly doused, programming was suspended for the day at the Regina Avenue building.
The VNFC shelter opened as planned.
More than 140 staff deliver beyond 75 programs through the Victoria non-profit. It also maintains 50 units of safe and affordable housing for Indigenous community on the traditional lands of the Coast Salish people.
