Suspect sought after security guard stabbed near Langford shopping mall

West Shore RCMP is looking to identify a suspect connected to a Langford stabbing that took place at the Millstream Village Shopping Centre just before midnight on Monday (Aug. 7).

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5’11 tall with brown hair. He was reportedly wearing a black and blue hoodie with a black backpack.

Officers and police dog services immediately attended the area and located a single male victim who was a security guard in the area.

The security guard suffered a stab wound after a brief interaction with a male suspect and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are looking to identify the suspect, as well as any witnesses to the crime.

“Police believe this incident is isolated and the public does not appear to be at risk,” police said in a release.
