A dump truck crash completely closed the southbound lanes of Highway 1 south of the Malahat early Tuesday morning.
The highway near Spencer Road in Langford closed shortly before 6 a.m. with West Shore RCMP alerting drivers the Oct. 8 morning commute was down to one lane as of 7 a.m.
“Please plan for extra time in your commute this morning if you are headed into Victoria or Langford via the TCH,” West Shore RCMP said on social media. “Clean up will take several hours.”
Drive BC estimates both lanes will reopen by 11 a.m.
