A Saanich senior reported missing was located, safe, a few hours later.
Saanich police issued an alert for a 78-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease after he went for a walk with his dog at approximately 1 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 15). He did not return home.
Shortly before 6 p.m., the department issued a news release the man had been found, thanking those who helped locate him, including BC Transit and local search and rescue crews.
