Use of fake passport leads to arrest of woman in Oak Bay

The use of a fraudulent passport has resulted in charges against a 29-year-old woman.

Oak Bay police report receiving a call from a bank on the 2000 block of Cadboro Bay Road on March 27 about a woman using a suspicious passport while attempting to open a bank account. Upon examination, police determined the passport was false. The woman was arrested for obstructing a police officer and released on an undertaking to appear.

In a separate file, police impounded a vehicle after it was clocked travelling 45 km/h over the speed limit on Beach Drive March 29.
