A man is slated for court after being arrested and released by VicPD in relation to a stabbing May 1 in Pioneer Park.
Just before 6:45 p.m. that evening, officers were called to the park in the 900-block of Quadra Street, Victoria police said in a news release at the time. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police issued a description of the man in the wake of what officers believed to be a random attack.
On Saturday (May 10) VicPD officers arrested a man, who was subsequently released “with conditions intended to protect the public” and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date, the department said in an online update.
