VicPD look for witnesses following unprovoked attack

After a person was assaulted by an unknown suspect near the intersection of Kings Road and Fifth Street in late November, Victoria Police are now looking for witnesses and additional CCTV footage.

According to police, at about 11 p.m. on Nov.22, the victim was walking near the intersection of Kings Road and Fifth Street when an unknown person approached them and, without provocation, punched them in the face.

The victim suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was treated in the hospital.

The incident was reported to the VicPD the next day.

The suspect is described as:

•A very dark-skinned man in his twenties

•Approximately six feet tall

•Slim build

•Wearing a green hoody and black track pants

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed this assault or anyone with CCTV or doorbell camera footage that captured this incident or the suspect to call the E-Comm Report Desk at (250) 995-7654 extension 1.
