VicPD seeking suspect of alleged unprovoked assault that injured victim

Police are asking the public if they have any information on the November 2023 assault

Victoria police are looking for a suspect of an alleged unprovoked assault that caused the victim serious injuries.

The victim was walking near the intersection of Kings Road and Fifth Street around 11 p.m. on Nov. 22, 2023, when an unknown person approached. Police said the suspect allegedly punched the victim in the face without being provoked.

The victim suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was treated in the hospital.

Police describe the suspect as a man in his twenties who’s about six feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a green hoodie and black track pants at the time. VicPD released images of the suspect on Thursday (Feb. 22).

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the man or has information about the incident to call the E-Comm Report Desk at 250-995-7654 ext. 1.
