VicPd seeking witnesses and dash cam footage of Bay Street hit and run

Incident took place along the 900-block of Bay Street resulting in a vehicle being towed due to the damage

Traffic officers are seeking witnesses, dash cam or CCTV footage related to a hit-and-run collision in the 900-block of Bay Street in Victoria. The collision resulted in one vehicle being towed due to the damage. 

The incident happened on Thursday, Aug. 22 at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Bay Street near Cook Street.

A VicPD traffic officer said the driver of a black pickup truck was travelling east on Bay Street when they struck the rear driver-side corner of a car travelling westbound.

The truck continued driving east before turning south on Cook Street. No licence plate number was obtained, but it likely has damage to the front passenger-side area, police said.

Investigation is ongoing and anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam or CCTV footage of the area around the time of the incident is encouraged to call the E-Comm Report Desk at 250-995-7654 and reference file number 24-30574.
