VicPD is urging a driver to come forward after a cyclist was hit on Caledonia Avenue Sunday not far from the police station.

Investigators hope to hear from witnesses and gather further video footage following a collision between a driver and a cyclist near Douglas Street just after 11 a.m. on March 2.

Police were told the cyclist was in the bike lane in the 700-block of Caledonia when they were hit. The driver initially stopped to check on the cyclist but left the scene shortly afterward, VicPD said in a news release. The cyclist was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

VicPD is appealing to the driver of the red SUV and witnesses to call 250-995-7654 and reference file number 25-7458.
