Victoria police seek witnesses in random downtown stabbing

Victoria police are asking for the public's help after a man was stabbed by an unknown woman in the 700-block of Johnson Street on Tuesday, April 8.

At about 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, officers responded to a call from BC Emergency Health Services about a man found with a stab wound in a parkade on the 1800 block of Blanshard Street. 

The victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to the hospital.

Police believe the stabbing occurred the previous day around noon behind the Odeon Theatre and was a random attack.

The suspect remains at large. She is described as a Caucasian woman in her early 20s, approximately 5’4” tall, wearing a pink hair wrap and black clothing.

Police urge anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
