The Victoria Police Department is seeking witnesses and footage after a person sustained "serious injuries" following an assault with a weapon near the intersection of Quadra Street and Hillside Avenue in the afternoon of Sunday, May 25.
Just before 5:30 p.m., patrol officers were called to assist BC Emergency Health Services after they received a report of an assault with a weapon. One person was found bleeding in an alley near the 2600-block of Quadra Street and was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
"Investigators believe the assault occurred near the intersection of Quadra Street and Hillside Avenue," noted a VicPD news release, adding that police are looking for witnesses or dashcam footage from motorists who were in the area between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on May 26.
Anyone who was in the area during that time and has cell phone video, dashcam footage, or security camera footage from a home or business is asked to contact the E-Comm report desk at 250-995-7654, extension 1, and reference file number 25-19072.
