The committee that advises Victoria transit on accessibility plans, projects and policies is looking for new members.

The Accessible Transportation Advisory Committee offers advice to the Victoria Regional Transit Commission and BC Transit related to recognized accessibility standards and how they apply in Greater Victoria – including planning, projects, policies and guidelines to ensure persons with disabilities can safely access and use transit services.

Applicants must be able to attend meetings, in person or virtually, and should be comfortable using a variety of virtual meeting platforms. The committee meets at the discretion of the chair, in person or virtually, a minimum of four times a year.

Terms are for two years.

The deadline for applications is Feb. 1 with the digital form available online at bctransit.com/atac.
