Victoria’s baroque music group is bringing free concerts to unique venues this summer.

In August, the classical music group Raven Baroque will perform popular classics from the 1650s by Albonini, Corelli, Germiniani, Graul, Handel, Vivaldi and more.

However, the concerts won’t take place in your typical venues. You can pull up a lawn chair or picnic blanket and enjoy summer days listening to live music.

On Aug. 4, they’ll play at the reservoir on Mount Tolmie from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

On the following day, they’ll be at the Brentwood Bay performance stage from 6-7:30 p.m., and then on Aug. 7 you can catch them at the Victoria Public Library atrium.

On Saturday (Aug. 9), the lawn at the Christ Church Cathedral will come alive with classical tunes from Raven Baroque from 10-11:30 a.m.

Finally, the group will perform at Willows Beach Park lawn in Oak Bay on Sunday (Aug. 10), from 6-7:30 p.m.
