The parade featured around 140 entries

Thousands of people in colourful outfits gathered in downtown Victoria during the 2023 Victoria Pride Parade.

The parade featured a new route and around 140 entries celebrating 2SLGBTQIA+ communities on the final day of the Victoria Pride Festival Sunday (July 9).

The parade kicked off in Chinatown and finished up at Menzies and Kingston streets.

The opening ceremonies featured the Songhees Nation and other Indigenous and two-spirit guests of honour.

A new group took part this year consisting of participants attending their first Pride, and they were sponsored by the Victoria Pride Society.
