The CRD offers an online session about the 2025 financial plan on Jan. 22.

Residents are encouraged to participate, ask questions, and be actively involved in the financial planning process at the Capital Regional District with an online information session.

Jan. 22 marks the second year staff will host an online session about the plan, board chair Cliff McNeil-Smith said during the January CRD meeting.

The provisional 2025 financial plan has been online for viewing and comment since its approval in the fall.

Residents are invited to an online information session about the 2025 Provisional Financial Plan. This session will provide an opportunity to learn how the regional district develops budgets, makes decisions, and delivers services with consideration of community needs and impact on taxpayers. The presentation will include an overview of the potential 2025 taxes, rates and consolidated budget figures, as well as planned capital projects.

“The next step is of course the plan with possible amendments is brought back to the board in March for final approval,” said McNeil-Smith who plans to attend.

The presentation and opportunity to ask questions runs Jan. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m.
