The deadline for the Victoria Foundation's Vital Signs citizen survey is noon May 30 – it takes just a few minutes and you'll be in the running for one of three $100 Country Grocer gift cards.

It's a busy world out there and staying up-to-date on the myriad initiatives and events shaping our community can be a challenge. Here in Greater Victoria, the Victoria Foundation is at the heart of many of those initiatives and a trusted source of information for the non-profit and philanthropic sectors, local governments and others.

One of the easiest ways to stay both informed and inspired about the Foundation's work is through the team's blog posts, where you'll find engaging, informative stories highlighting the latest program news, plus links to surveys and publications like Vital Signs and Pulse, updates on events, non-profit news, and blog posts related to philanthropy.

Recent posts have explored financial planning and charitable giving, for example, the powerful impact of creating a legacy through your will, and guest posts highlighting lifelong learning opportunities for women and the city's arts community.

Even better, thanks to the Victoria Foundation's eNewsletters, there's no need to keep checking for updates and the latest stories – you can get them delivered straight to your inbox! Sign up for the general, bi-weekly eNewsletter here

For professional advisors, such as estate planners, a second bi-monthly newsletter is designed to help support charitable giving, sharing information about ways to work with the Foundation, news from the community, and the impact of philanthropy in our region and beyond.

Get social

Beyond the Victoria Foundation's blog and eNewsletters, its social media channels – including Linkedin, Facebook and Instagram – are a great resource for staying up to date with the latest Foundation programs, surveys, news and events.

To learn more about their work in the community or to get involved, the Foundation encourages the community to connect via social media or email, or to call the office at 250-381-5532.

The Victoria's Vital Signs survey today: Deadline is May 30!

One of the most important projects the Victoria Foundation undertakes every year is Victoria's Vital Signs, a report that helps local governments, non-profits and philanthropists in their decision-making. The community check-up begins with a citizen survey, exploring the quality of life in Greater Victoria; survey results are paired with local statistics to create a current snapshot of the region.

This year's theme – “Your Voice. Your Victoria!” – reminds residents of the power of their collective voice and its ability to have a meaningful impact. Don't miss your chance to have your say – this year's Vital Signs survey closes at noon on Friday, May 30.

And, after completing the survey, you'll also be entered into the gift card draw for one of three $100 Country Grocer gift cards – double your chances to win by filling out the long version. It takes just 10 minutes or less!
