The Esquimalt Parks & Recreation family has their elf hats at the ready, crafting an array of events to bring the community together this festive season From decorating trees to skating with Santa, there’s something for everyone to experience this coming festive season.
9th annual Christmas Tree Village
Join in the holiday magic at the Christmas Tree Village, which runs Dec. 3 to Jan. 3. The Esquimalt Recreation Centre atrium and Archie Browning Sports Centre will be transformed into a winter wonderland of decorated trees, twinkling lights and holiday cheer. Local businesses, groups and non-profits decorate their own trees, and visitors can vote for their favourite.

Lace up your skates for a fun afternoon with Santa at the Archie Browning Sports Centre! This free event takes place on Dec. 7, when families can skate alongside Santa while enjoying festive music.
Skate rentals are available for $3.50 on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t miss this chance to create special holiday memories.

- When: Saturday, Dec. 7, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Capture the perfect holiday photo with Santa at the Esquimalt Recreation Centre. Bring your own camera or have staff help take a picture. No registration is required, but donations for the Rainbow Kitchen are appreciated to help support the community.

- When: Dec. 14, from noon to 4 p.m.
Wind down the holiday fun with the Jolly Jingle Story Mingle. Come in your PJs, cosy up by the fire and enjoy Storytime with the family. Whether you’re stopping by after a swim or just for the stories, it’s a perfect way to celebrate the season.
