Exciting opportunities for learning, fitness and fun are coming this winter and spring at Esquimalt Recreation!

Mark your calendars – to help with planning, 2024/2025 Winter/Spring programs are viewable online now, before registration opens Dec. 4 at 11 p.m.

For those eager to dive into swimming lessons, schedules are now available with registration kicking off on Dec. 1, at 11 p.m.

Esquimalt Recreation is introducing a range of exciting new programs this winter:  

  • Paint nights and workshops: Unleash your creativity with engaging, hands-on sessions led by talented local artists.  
  • Active aging adult: Stay fit, social and healthy with programs tailored for active adults looking to maintain their wellness.  
  • Social Saturdays: Meet new people and enjoy themed activities in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.  

Whether you're looking for personal enrichment, social connection or physical fitness, these new programs are designed to inspire.

Get ready for the 12 days of fitmas!  

Esquimalt Recreation’s 12 Days of Fitmas Challenge returns Dec. 1 to 14, offering an energizing way to stay active before the holidays. Participants are challenged to complete 12 group fitness classes within 14 days, with options including drop-in fitness, registered fitness and waterfit classes.  

Highlights include added classes like weekend yoga, spin and a special Dance Party at the Esquimalt Gorge Pavilion on Dec.12. 

Everyone who completes the challenge is entered into a draw for prizes, with a grand prize of a three-month Esquimalt Recreation pass and a personal training session. Tracking sheets are free and available at the Esquimalt Recreation reception desk.  

Last year, more than 45 participants successfully completed the challenge – this year, it could be you! Best of all, the challenge is included with your Esquimalt Recreation pass. For full details on fitness classes and schedules, visit esquimalt.ca/programs.
