EMCON nearly done removing trees along Hwy 14

Traffic has returned to two lanes on Highway 14 near Parkland Road as EMCON crews complete tree removal work in the area.

In a tweet sent out at 2 p.m. on Jan. 23, EMCON South Island said traffic would return to normal at around 2 p.m. At 3:19 p.m., the maintenance company announced work was complete.

Crews had been working on removing the trees since Jan. 21.

“Apologies for delays and inconvenience,” EMCON said in a tweet. “It was a tricky removal but glad it was done safely.”
