The Victoria Hospitals Foundation is warning Greater Victoria residents to be wary of a fraudster.
The foundation does not solicit donations by phone, but has learned someone has been calling residents asking for donations in the foundation’s name.
The Hospitals Foundation is running a direct mail campaign for donations for neurosurgery equipment at Victoria General Hospital, which was paused during the postal strike and lockout.
Anyone who receives a phone call asking for donations to the foundation should call the Better Business Bureau at 250-386-6348.
