No injuries were reported in Saanich after an early morning fire in the 3200-block of Wascana Street.
Crews were called to the blaze in an unoccupied home on Sept. 1 around 1:30 a.m.
The fire was out within a few minutes but caused significant damage, according to Assistant Deputy Chief Trevor Stubbings.
The Saanich Fire Department is still investigating the cause.
