An important link in the transportation chain is good to go.
The section of Highway 14 between Glinz Lake Road and Connie roads opened to two-lane traffic in both directions on Friday.
According to a media release from the Transportation and Infrastructure Ministry, the speed limit has been restored to 60 km/h.

“It’s really exciting news to share,” Ravi Parmar, MLA-elect for the Langford-Juan de Fuca riding, said.
“Opening all four lanes is an important milestone in making Highway 14 an easier and safer commute.”
The addition of barriers and the opening of the 45-stall park and ride at Connie Road, which includes six charging stations for electric vehicles, is another benefit for commuters, Parmar said.
Parmar expects the entire Highway 14 project budgeted at $85 million to be completed by the end of the summer.
