A man is in custody in connection to a break and enter that put the James Bay Community School on lockdown Friday morning.
The man was caught after Victoria police received a tip from a member of the public who spotted the suspect hiding in a bush. He was eventually apprehended near an apartment building on St. James Street, just across the street form the school.

Around 9:30 a.m. this morning, police alerted the public they were searching for a male and female suspect, who could possibly be carrying several bags. The James Bay Community School was locked down out of an abundance of caution.
We're in James Bay looking for a white male, 5'5" med build, black jeans, t-shirt w "skater shoes". Dark hair & stubble. If seen, call.
