Saanich Police with assistance of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team have successfully resolved a mental health crisis on Lochside Regional Trail, which will re-open on around noon.
The incident — which started at 4:45 a.m. — closed the trail as the police responded to the person.
One commuter tweeted that they witnessed police along the trail during their ride to work.

Open to all traffic again is Saanich Road after police had closed sections of it.
