The body of 39-year-old Matthew Mueller, missing since May 30, has been found in Kamloops according to RCMP.
BC RCMP spokesperson Staff Sgt. Kris Clark confirmed Mueller’s body was found on June 6.
“The BC Coroners Service has been notified and has launched a concurrent fact-finding investigation into the man’s death,” he said in a news release issued June 7.
Mueller was last seen by his family on May 30 but had been in contact by phone the following day, the same day he was reported missing.
Kamloops Search and Rescue reported their organization, as well as mutual aid trackers from Shuswap Search and Rescue worked with a K9 team to locate Mueller.
“The KSAR team stayed on scene until the Coroner arrived and our team assisted in the recovery process,” said a notice from the group.
