Drivers and pedestrians are now met with a new traffic signal in front of the B.C. legislature.
The new signal is located at the Belleville and Menzies streets intersection, and the City of Victoria said it will improve road safety for everyone. The city asked those in the area to use caution as the public gets used to the traffic addition.
Before the signal was in place, pedestrian crosswalks at the intersection linked people between the legislature grounds and the Inner Harbour in the heavy tourism area.
