Oak Bay police took to Twitter in search of a suspect in a couple of thefts from mid-December.
The department shared images Jan. 4 of what appears to be a man rummaging through vehicles. Officers want to speak to the individual regarding stuff stolen from vehicles Dec. 11.
“His idea of spreading Christmas cheer was to break into vehicles and steal identification to use in frauds downtown,” the tweet said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Oak Bay police at 250-592-2424 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
