An individual was arrested in Victoria earlier this week after an alleged assault.
Victoria police in a Friday statement gave few details of the incident as they called for anyone with video footage of the interaction to come forward.
According to police, the suspect assaulted someone in the 1200-block of Douglas Street around 8 a.m. on Wednesday (May 24) and also smashed the window of a vehicle that was stopped in traffic. Police said a victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers were originally called to what police called a disturbance.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and was held for court, VicPD said. Police on Friday did not say if the suspect has been charged.
Police believe someone filmed the incident and are asking anyone who has video footage to call the VicPD Report Desk at 250-995-7654 extension 1.
