Crack cocaine and replica guns were seized by Victoria police last November at a home in the 2900-block of Quadra St.
VicPD's covert Strike Force team targeted a 34-year-old Victoria man suspected of selling drugs from his residence.
Days later, enough evidence was gathered to execute a search warrant. Inside, police found crack cocaine, a replica handgun and a replica assault rifle.
“There is only one reason we see for someone involved in the drug trade to have weapons like this,” said Inspector Brian Fox with VicPD’s Operational Support Division. “That reason, plain and simple, is intimidation. We’re very glad to have these drugs and replica guns off our streets.”
A 34-year-old Victoria man faces charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
