Search and rescue crews in Greater Victoria were kept busy over the weekend with an operation in the Sooke Hills near Sugarloaf.
Crews were called out at around 4 p.m. with roughly 30 members from Juan de Fuca and Metchosin working together. of the Juan de Fuca search and rescue team, and Metchosin Emergency Program.
Shortly after 9 p.m. they found the person and stretchered them out to hand off to BC Ambulance.

UPDATE 2120 hours: About 30 JDF and Metchosin Search and Rescue members are currently involved in the stretcher carry near Sugarloaf. Teams are expected to be in the field for another few hours. @BCAmbulance is also on scene awaiting our teams in the field. #yyj #bcsara
