UPDATE: Virginia Leong has been found and has been taken to hospital for evaluation.

The 93-year-old woman, who went missing after going for a walk early Monday morning from a home in the 400-block of Treebank Road East in Esquimalt, was located at about 1:30 p.m. this afternoon in the 1900-block of Meadow Vale Drive in View Royal.
A passerby noticed her and called the BC Ambulance Service as they were concerned for her welfare. She was picked up and transported to Victoria General Hospital for evaluation.
Virginia Leong had been last seen around 6:30 a.m. Monday.

That afternoon, an RCMP helicopter, Metchosin search and rescue team, personnel from Saanich police, Victoria and Saanich fire departments, West Shore RCMP, the Peninsula Emergency Measures Organization and civilians were assisting in the search along the Gorge Waterway off Craigflower Road.
