A “violent” and “prolific” offender was arrested last week after allegedly breaking in to the homes of two people he knew.
A suspect entered a house in the 600-block of Dunedin St., armed with a weapon and stole goods from inside just after noon on Friday.
He also stole the resident’s SUV, which he used to drive to an apartment in the 600-block of Gorge Rd. East, where he produced a weapon and stole other items from inside.
Officers were called to the Gorge address and found the 31-year-old suspect hiding inside.
He was also the subject of a five-hour standoff on Pandora Avenue on Aug. 21.
Police are recommending charges of robbery, possession of stolen property, possessing a dangerous weapon and uttering threats.
