Traffic is beginning to flow freely on the Malahat once again as police report a crash which caused snarls earlier in the afternoon has now been cleared.
Just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday (June 7) the West Shore RCMP said in a tweet traffic was beginning to flow as normal, and thanked motorists for their patience.
The collision that was causing delays at Malahat and Finlayson Arm Rd is now cleared up. Traffic is resuming as normal. Thanks for your patience as police and crews attended the scene.

The two-vehicle collision at Finlayson Arm Road was reported by police just before 1:30 p.m., and reduced the Trans-Canada Highway to single lane alternating traffic, causing delays around Goldstream Provincial Park.
It was the second incident on the stretch of highway in as many days.
