UVic student web series earns Leo nod

Freshman's Wharf, a webseries produced last year through the University of Victoria Writing Department has earned a nomination at B.C.'s Leo Awards for film and television.

The 10-webisode series chronicling the trials of first-year university life was written by Rachel Warden, while she studied screenwriting at UVic. Freshman's Wharf was co-produced by writing professor Maureen Bradley as well as students at the time, Eliza Robertson and Julia Dillon-Davis.

The Leo Awards are set for June 11 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Check out the complete series at www.youtube.com/thewritersroom.
