A vehicle collided with a fence at the intersection of Oswego and Beckley Ave in James Bay Tuesday morning.

The vehicle appeared to come across the sidewalk, through the fence and into the yard, destroying the fence and part of the lawn and disrupting a gas line.

Victoria police acting spokesperson Bowen Osoko said the area was cleared so Fortis B.C. could look into the gas line rupture. The minor accident itself was likely caused by an unimpaired driver error.

An investigative report on the accident is currently being undergone, though results may not be released for 24 hours to three days due to the minor nature of the collision.

Beckley Avenue and Oswego Street are currently open to traffic and pedestrians.
