The British Columbia Schizophrenia Society is hosting a fundraiser luncheon tomorrow (May 24) at noon at the Union Club on Gordon Street in Victoria.
Proceeds from the buffet lunch will help the non-profit society's work in the community, supporting people and families who are touched by mental illness. The gathering will happen on schizophrenia and psychosis awareness day in Victoria – the goal of which is to inform people about the realities of mental illness.
Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased from the society by phone 250-384-4225. People can also show their support by wearing purple on May 24.
