Victoria couple Samantha Province and Edward Angus recently won over $26,000 playing Toto – a sports action lottery game.
The pair shared the $99,220.12 prize pot with three other B.C. Toto players who also correctly guessed the outcome for 12 of the 13 games.
When the couple realized they had correctly predicted the results of a dozen NFL games on the Toto ticket in the 10th week of the season, they said they were in pure disbelief and believed the BCLC Lotto! app had made an error.
“We have our first baby on the way so we would like to put money away for our baby’s education and we would also like to donate to a local charity, especially with Christmas around the corner,” said Angus in a release.
Toto players win a prize when they predict the outcome of 11, 12, or 13 sports games correctly and the prize changes based on the number of tickets sold.
